If the bike is equipped with a standard UDH derailleur hanger, it is not possible to "screw through" the 12 mm thru axle on the derailleur side, as it will hit the bolt. The advantage of our UDH adapter over the original UDH bolt is that the diameter in the hexagon area is so large that the 12 mm thru axle can be screwed through without any problems. This option is required, for example, to be able to fit a suitable thru axle for FollowMe trailers or Tailfin luggage carriers
